YOUR CHOICES ARE SIMPLE & DIGNIFIED.
There are many ways to say goodbye to a faithful friend. At Faithful Forever Pets, we help guide you through the many available options to create a special and appropriate tribute and memorial.
You Have 2 Choices of Disposition at the Time of Your Pet’s Death, Burial or Cremation.
The Preference for Burial
Burial is for those families who enjoy a central place to visit that insures the peace and sanctity for their pet. This would be sponsored by a local cemetery that provides this type of service for
pets. Many times there are dedicated cemeteries or areas within a cemetery where pets may be buried. Burial procedures will require you to purchase a burial plot and the services to open and close the grave. Depending on cemetery policy, a casket container and or burial vault may be required. A casket container is to hold the body and the burial vault is to protect the casket and support the earth of the grave. A grave marker will also be required and this can be designed, engraved and personalized in the most meaningful fashion.
The Preference for Cremation
Cremation is for those families who are looking for greater freedom in the final resting place for their pet. This type of service can be offered through participating Veterinarians, Funeral Homes, Cemeteries, Kennels and Humane Societies. Cremated remains can be buried within a cemetery, placed in a special pet niche or columbarium or scattered at a special place. Cremated remains can be kept at home in an urn or distributed amongst family members through what is called keepsakes. A keepsake can be either a miniature urn or special jewelry that holds a tiny amount of ashes or lock of hair. Cremation services are typically performed in three different manners. Your specific memorial and economic needs will many times dictate which procedure is most appropriate.
- Private – A private cremation is where your pet will be the only one placed in the crematory equipment at the time of the cremation process.
- Partitioned – A partitioned cremation is for administering multiple cremations at one time. Your pet will be separated from other pets prior/during the cremation process.
- Communal – A communal cremation is for administering multiple cremations at one time. The cremation of animals performed in this manner removes the option of receiving the cremated remains upon completion. This service represents a low cost option for the companion animal owners.
